Penyakit endometriosis merupakan sejenis penyakit yang agak luar biasa. Ramai yang tidak mengetahui tentang penyakit ini sedangkan sekarang makin ramai wanita yang menghidapinya. Di antara masalah yang ditumbulkan oleh penyakit ini ialah senggugut dan kesakitan, kemandulan dan keguguran yang mungkin berulang-kali. Ia juga boleh menyebabkan berbagai jenis masalah seperti pendarahan, gangguan kencing, kesakitan dan lain-lain. 
 

Apakah sebenarnya penyakit Endometriosis?

Penyakit endometriosis ini adalah satu keadaan luar biasa di mana tisu dari selaput dalam rahim yang digelar endometrium telah tumbuh di bahagian yang tidak sepatutnya iaitu di luar rahim. Selaput ini biasanya luruh bersama-sama darah haid. Oleh itu campuran darah dari rahim dengan tisu yang telah berkecai daripada lapisan endometrium serta kuman-kuman bakteria, menjadikan apa yang digelar darah kotor atau darah haid.

Bagaimana endometrium terjadi

Pada kebiasaannya tempat-tempat di luar rahim di mana tisu endometrium ini tumbuh ialah pada kilang telur (ovari), belakang rahim (utero sacral ligament), tiub saluran fallopian, pundi-pundi kencing, kadang-kala di tempat-tempat yang aneh seperti parut bekas pembedahan untuk melahirkan anak ataupun pembedahan. Endometrium ini juga boleh tumbuh dengan luar biasa saiznya pada dinding/otot rahim menyebabkan penyakit yang digelar Adenomyosis. Dinding rahim menjadi besar dari biasa dan membengkak.

 Simptom-simptom endometriosis

Tanda yang paling utama sekali di kalangan wanita ialah senggugut ataupun kesakitan pada bawah perut dan pinggang. Senggugut ini mungkin dialami dari sejak remaja lagi dan ia berterusan dan mungkin tidak reda walaupun selepas kahwin. Ada setengahnya lega sekejap lepas berkahwin dan melahirkan anak tetapi senggugut ini akan timbul balik akibat daripada penyakit endometriosis. Kesakitan yang dialami biasanya berlaku sebelum datangnya haid yang biasanya berbentuk kesakitan yang amat kuat pada bahagian ari-ari dan sering juga ke bahagian pinggang. 

Biasanya rasa sakit akan reda selepas dua atau tiga hari sahaja, tetapi jika keadaan di mana endometriosis ini telah merebak dengan banyak, kesakitan ini mungkin akan berterusan waktu haid dan walaupun haid sudah berhenti kadang-kala kesakitan masih ada lagi. Ini menunjukkan bahawa penyakit ini berada di peringkat yang teruk dan mungkin telah melibatkan kerosakkan pada dinding dan otot rahim. 

Kesakitan juga dialami ketika melakukan persetubuhan khususnya jika suaminya menekan agak kuat sedikit dan kesakitan juga mungkin dialami waktu membuang air besar khususnya pada waktu haid. Ini disebabkan oleh perdarahan yang berlaku dibelakang rahim yang mungkin melibatkan usus besar.

CT Scan dah wat tahun 2007..buat utk detect brain tumor..tp alhamdulillah..x de sakit tu...ni cadang nak wat MRI pulak...coz kdg2 diserang migrain, kdg2 pulak otak berpusing mcm nak pitam...

What It Is

Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) of the brain is a safe and painless test that uses a magnetic field and radio waves to produce detailed images of the brain and the brain stem. An MRI differs from a CAT scan (also called a CT scan or a computed axial tomography scan) because it does not use radiation.
An MRI scanner consists of a large doughnut-shaped magnet that often has a tunnel in the center. Patients are placed on a table that slides into the tunnel. Some centers have open MRI machines that have larger openings and are helpful for patients with claustrophobia. MRI machines are located in hospitals and radiology centers.
During the exam, radio waves manipulate the magnetic position of the atoms of the body, which are picked up by a powerful antenna and sent to a computer. The computer performs millions of calculations, resulting in clear, cross-sectional black and white images of the body. These images can be converted into three-dimensional (3-D) pictures of the scanned area. This helps pinpoint problems in the brain and the brain stem when the scan focuses on those areas.

Why It's Done

MRI can detect a variety of conditions of the brain such as cysts, tumors, bleeding, swelling, developmental and structural abnormalities, infections, inflammatory conditions, or problems with the blood vessels. It can determine if a shunt is working and detect damage to the brain caused by an injury or a stroke.
MRI of the brain can be useful in evaluating problems such as persistent headaches, dizziness, weakness, and blurry vision or seizures, and it can help to detect certain chronic diseases of the nervous system, such as multiple sclerosis.
In some cases, MRI can provide clear images of parts of the brain that can't be seen as well with an X-ray, CAT scan, or ultrasound, making it particularly valuable for diagnosing problems with the pituitary gland and brain stem.

NATURAL BEAUTY SPA IN BENTONG, PAHANG

Kuala Lumpur (Sin Chew Daily/ANN) - Residents in Bentong have recently discovered a hot spring lake with natural "miracle water" and mud said to have treatment effects to revitalise skin.
About 20 residents enjoy the hot spring bath here at six every morning to wash fatique away. It is also said that the hot spring lake has some treatment effects that can improve skin health.
More and more women have followed their husbands to the lake as they believe that the lake water could improve health while the black mud have skin whitening effect.
Yi Guan Feng said that when she baths in the lake with her husband and friends in the morning, she smears mud across her face and limbs. She cleans her body 10 minutes later when the mud become half dry.
She said that the water has treatment effects, including promoting blood circulation. She was amazed to find that freckles on her face have been reduced and her skin health has also been improved.
Although the environment here is poor due to mismanagement, many people still visit the site, particularly during weekends and holidays because of its significant treatment effects.
Peng Hui Xin is a frequent visitor to the lake since 2003. He goes at 6.50am from Monday to Friday and baths for about an hour.
He said that there was a black spot about the size of a 50 sen on his forehead and the black spot had gradually faded since he started bathing here. He found that his wrinkles have also been reduced and he now has a smooth and bright forehead.
Meanwhile, arthritis patient Yang Li Wen said that it is unbelievable to find that the pain of his leg has eased after he started to bath in the lake.
